Another weekend over and a photo visit to New Zealand

Hello there,
Well another weekend over and another busy time.I have worked flat out since my return and I just wish sometimes time would stop while I smell the flowers.lol.
I havent been able to get any stitching done which makes me sad and mad.But I thought Id put some more photos on.
After leaving Hobart we spent 2 days at sea and then ended up in this Magical place.Milford Sound.NZ.It truely is unbeleiveable . There is snow year round ontop of the mountains.
Just amazing.
The sun did shine as the day went by.
Me play shuffle board on deck..I had to wear my alpca cape as it was freezing..lol
A wild windy me
The Promanade.
There was alot of festival parade down here at night. Our cabin is the window on the right up the top beside the round silver light..
Pig and Whistle English Pub is all the chairs on the left..We spent an hour or two each afternoon there.
One afternoon we were entertained by about 14 ice skaters who preformed the most amazing show for about 45 mins. The ice is about 1 and half inch thick and 28 ft above sea level , it was really amazing
Well there isnt much to show you in my stitching world.I am hoping that this afternoon after I have finished all the housework I will be able to settle down infront of the TV as it is miserable mountain weather outside..So I will post a pic if I was able to do some stitching..
Next post I will add Dunedin Picton and Wellington photos..so stay turned..

From Perth WA we sailed down the Great South Ocean to Adelaide visiting a wonderful little town of Handorf which is a "Must see again" town..We didnt have enought time there so we will fly down there for more exploring one weekend.Lots of liitle craft shops and little boutiques to explore.

From Adelaide we sailed to Melbourne..Well I have been there a few times and and it is unique in it own way as far as big cities go.
From Melbourne we sailed to Hodat in Tasmania which I had never been to before and I feel in love with it.It had everything I want in life , the mountains and bush the water and the very slow and qutie lifestyle. It is ontop of the list for retirement.I just love it.

Flowers for daughter and SAL

Hiya,  Well another weekend has come to an end and I have to be up early for work..Im not excited as Im starting to wind down for nexr weekend so I can up up and away to our much await holiday..
We fly to Perth (2 days break) board a beautiful ship on her maiden voyage to Aussie "Voyager of the Seas" We head to Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart and then over to New Zealand before heading to Sydney..The cruise is for 18 nights..We have been waiting for months for this trip and are both really looking forward to it...
On the sewing side of life my daughter asked me to make heer some flowers for her to make little girls hair clips with so I have been busy with that most of the week.
They are made out of 4ply cotton...
.
I have also made a start on the SAL of the German Band Sampler from Scarlet Letter with 5 other ladies..
I have so far really enjoyed stitching the horse...If I didnt have to get up so early in the morning to go to work I would sit all night and stitch more.lol..
The weather here in The Mountains is incredible lately..We had snow last week heat waves this week and I had to put the fire on today as I was in a mood for doing nothing on my weekend off..
I hear on the news tonight that there has been an earthquake in Canada..(or of shore) I havent heard anymore about it and sure hope that noone has been hurt...
I live smack bang in the middle of the National Park and each summer heads towards us and I pray that the bush fires dont come..
Mother  nature can sometime dish us out some really bad blows...
Must try and get some beauty sleep...

Hours spent sorting this blog out so I may start
As I go along it will sort itself out.

On the stitching side of life I am at the moment enjoying a Moria Blackburn sampler
"The Hours Of Prayer". It is coming along nicely.
This photo I took a couple of weeks ago so I have been able to do alot more on it.
This week I receveived the Needlepoint silks to get started on my next project out of the Sampler and Antique Needlework Quarterly magazine .
I am going to do the 1819 Elizabeth Powell sampler which caught my eye while in a wonderful shop in Katoomba.
I am going away on the 3rd Novemeber for 3 weeks sailing the Southern Australian ocean from Perth to New Zealand and porting in Sydney late November so this shall be my project while on the high seas.
I just love the words to this lovely sampler. One of my favourite birds in these old samplers is the Peacock. Isnt he lovely?
So I will try for the first time to sew in silk and I could only find one place in Sydney that sold the Needlepoint Silk and it arrived and Im eager..lol..
I am hopeing to join in on a SAL with Nicola from Stitching By A Cornish Seaside with a lovely sampler from the 1710, SWD German Band Sampler. Which I have ordered the chart this morning but will only stitch this one in DMC.
I have tried stitching on Linen but I do enjoy 18 count aida and prefer it over linen. So both these will be on 18ct.
Well Im expecting my eldest daughter with her 3 children for dinner and a splash in the spa so better get some housework done...
tata for now......

As I am not very good at the computer and learning how to change add and control my blog it may take me some time to get it all together.. I had a blog and because I didnt use it for sometime due to a busy life I cant seem to post anything on there so I will try this one again after all these years.
I am dearly trying to get but into my life of stitching as I enjoy it so much. I will try over the next while to get this blog up and running to how I would like it..
